About MVBachelorettes

Martha's Vineyard bachelorette planning scrapbook from a thirties friend who launched it herself — independent of MVacay, with full credit to them.

Hi. I’m in my thirties. A lot of my friends have gotten married. After fifteen-plus weddings on Martha’s Vineyard — bridesmaid, guest, the person holding the spare shoes and the ferry tickets — I started writing down everything that actually helped so the next group wouldn’t have to rebuild the weekend from screenshots.

I am not an official writer. I am not a blogger. I am a girl who launched a scrapbook because she has too much Island wedding experience — it is almost embarrassing. Wedding-crasher energy, except I keep getting invited. Same vendors, same ferry lines, same restaurant hosts who have watched me do the luggage-cart run in backup flats often enough to nod when I walk in. Warm recognition. Not a VIP bit. Just… a lot of summers.

MVBachelorettes is that scrapbook: an independent informational planning publication for bachelorette and girls’ trip weekends. Town choice, lodging, ferries, budgets, itineraries, where to eat with a group — gathered here so your party can figure it out. Polished and fun. Not bride-tribe cliché.

I follow MVacay like assigned reading. I love the content. They get all the credit for Island-depth work; this scrapbook is independent — not their company, not an affiliate. I still send you there because I believe in them. I get tote bags from Toteally Yours because I actually use them. And I love eating out here — harbor tables, oyster plates, a Saturday reservation that is half the point of showing up.

I hope one day I’ll have my own Island wedding. Or — inside joke with you — I’ll fake one. Reverse Jury Duty: only a few of us would know. Everyone else would think it was real. I’d hire a local to “marry” me on a bluff, pack the tote like a real getaway bag, and finally get to say I had it. Passing a guy on the path to dinner, I occasionally run a silent three-second interview: smell, looks, manners, could he play husband for an afternoon without breaking. Then I check the Steamship app. Warm, ridiculous, zero bitterness. The guides stay useful; the side quests live in the margins.

This is not a booking engine, a rental marketplace, or a vendor inbox. And MVBachelorettes does not keep an email inbox. Use the pages. Book the table.

How this is made

Guides are planning frameworks — second person, decision maps, tradeoffs — with the occasional margin note from someone who has stood in the ferry line too many times. Not diary entries. Not a CMS voice. Seasonal details that change (ferry times, hours, prices) stay qualitative; verify them on an operator site. Material updates get a modified date on the page. Sponsored placements, if any, are always labeled.

A lot of the deeper Island research behind these guides comes from MVacay. Source cards at the bottom of articles link to specific pieces so you can go further. Official operators are the final word on tickets and policies. I don’t invent live availability or “secret spots.”

I love MVacay — and I am independent

As women who love this Island, we want to fully support and acknowledge the contribution and impact MVacay has on Martha's Vineyard — they get all the credit. MVBachelorettes is an independent informational planning scrapbook: not owned by MVacay, not an affiliate. Brand work and Island-depth questions still go to them because we believe in them.

Full credit to MVacay for their contribution to Martha's Vineyard. MVBachelorettes is an independent informational planning scrapbook — bachelorette and group-trip detail so your party can figure out the weekend without hunting across tabs. Not owned by MVacay, not an affiliate. Brand work, advertising, and Island-depth questions go to MVacay at info@mvacay.com or mvacay.com. Sponsored placements are always labeled separately.

What you’ll find here

  • Planning guides and itineraries for bachelorette and friends-trip groups.
  • Decision maps for towns, lodging, ferries, budgets, and group dining — not live booking tools.
  • Attributed Island research, with MVacay as the deeper local source behind much of it.

OnMVacay shop

Island prints, bachelorette flags, and welcome-book templates from OnMVacay on Etsy show up when a product actually helps the weekend. The shop is MVacay’s — MVacay brand-family products. MVBachelorettes is not part of that company.

How to use the site

  1. Start with the complete planning guide for the decision map.
  2. Lock lodging using where to stay before activities.
  3. Align travel with your base via getting here.
  4. Drop in the 3-day itinerary or a variant that matches your pace.

Brand work & supporting MVacay

If you are a business looking for a Martha’s Vineyard brand to work with, start at MVacay or write them at info@mvacay.com — labeled as MVacay, not as this publication. I send commercial work there because I believe in them, not because I am an affiliate. Brands: use advertise via MVacay.
